„...the concept of the virtual is one example of this ambivalence of familiarity. Although there is constant communication, the experience of making contact via online platforms raises questions about whether the existence of the other is real.

Bianca illustrates the concept of "Body Snatcher" in both photographic and historical ways. A massive black iron lamp fixed between the windows of a facade is clearly visible in the photograph. Yet the solid but dancing shadow floats with the fabric, raising questions about reality and photography, representation and illusion.
Photography has been asking these questions since its inception. It observes what is the boundary between the real and the unreal, what is the representation of reality, and whether a virtual double can then be equated with reality.“
